The Colorado Children’s Chorale is a treble voice choir meaning our performers leave us following eighth grade or a voice change, whichever occurs first. The programs below support Chorale’s young alumni through their high school years.
Comprised of young high school alumni, as well as boys with early voice changes, Transitions gives Chorale graduates the opportunity to continue making music with their peers and provides that often-needed transition into high school choral programs. Singing a variety of music including pop acapella, they experience a meaningful and challenging place to sing while exercising their new voice.
Chorale graduates may take these series of classes to concentrate on solo vocal and performance techniques. Taught by Chorale Associate Director Mary Louise Burke, each singer prepares an English or Italian art song and a music theatre solo to help them with auditions for school musicals, Colorado All State Choir and/or college applications.
